Andrea is an Austin, Texas seed-stage investor and advisor. After graduating UW-Madison Phi Beta Kappa with degrees in finance and economics, she began her career at Salomon Smith Barney in the Media Investment bank gaining experience in IPOs and secondary offerings. From there she earned an MBA from the UT Austin. Beginning in 2002, Andrea spent 6 years at Dell running multiple businesses in the highly profitable Software & Peripherals business. While at Salomon and at Dell, Andrea was always a champion of start-ups to drive emerging business. In 2008, Andrea shifted to Lontra Ventures and began engaging tightly with accelerators such as Techstars and Capital Factory. Andrea’s primary interests reside with enterprise customers engaged in artificial intelligence/machine learning in growth markets. She is an investor in Bitfusion, CrowdOut Capital, IronCore Labs and Stoplight Andrea is both an advisor and investor in Atlas Wearables BlazingDB Clarify Experiment Engine (sold to Optimizely) and Docstation She holds a Board of Directors seat at Appbase and RackN as well as advisory positions with Airtory, Joshin and Valkryie Intelligence. Andrea is engaged in the Austin community at UT Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneuriship, St. Andrew’s School, and the Anti-Defamation League.
